As veterinarians, we often wish we had more to offer our patients with cancer, especially when their owners for whatever reason are not able to take advantage of available referral services.

The answer... come join us in the Piney Woods of East Texas for a weekend of "Practical Oncology." We will cover the cancers most commonly seen in small animal practice, focusing on diagnosis and treatment in the trenches, as well as what we hope to gain for our patients and their owners by referring to a specialist. We will spend time discussing the how-to's of chemotherapy, adjustments to the chemo plan when our patient does not behave as expected, and rescue therapy.

The following are comments from participants of this Seminar:

  • This is the best course I have attended, absolutely the best speaker I've experienced at CE. Great presentation style, friendly, approachable. Clearly loves medicine, people, animals and life. Without any hestiation, I would recommend this seminar or any seminar with Dr. Blount as the main speaker.
Melissa Riley, DVM - Houston, TX

  • Great! Very knowledgeable and communicated very well. Good sense of humor and lots of practical advice.

  • Have more seminars like this one. Would like to hear more from Dr. Blount on different subjects. Very practical. Lots of good info!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed the two days, and was interested and atttentive throughout. It is obvious that Dr. Blount is both knowledgeable and has practical experience to be adept at presenting on the subject of oncology.
