Clinic Hours

Our doors are open to help our patients and their families from 7:30 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. We care for our patients in the evening and on weekends and Holidays, but we are not open to the public during those times.  Check with us to see which Holidays we will be open to the public for appointments.  We encourage you to visit your pets as often as you like, during regular clinic hours.  On busy days, it helps a great deal for you to let us know when you will be visiting, so that we can make sure there is someone available to greet you.

Appointments

Dr. Blount sees appointments from 9 am to 12noon on Wednesdays, at the Connolly Animal Clinic in Nacogdoches.  Diagnostics are performed between 11 am and 2 pm on Wednesdays, and we will be ready to meet with you after diagnostics are complete, to discuss your pet's health care plan for the future.  Tuesdays are spent in Lufkin, and other days are spent doing in-clinic consultations at other local clinics.  

If you wish, patients coming to see us for recheck can be left with us in the morning before work, and picked up after work, as long as we have communicated clearly about what we will be doing that day, and we need to have a phone number where we can reach you during the day, should we need to speak with you.

Emergencies

If you call our clinic after hours, you will be forwarded to our answering service, who takes care of regular clients of the clinic who have emergencies, and takes messages from our referral clients. We get our messages from the answering service on the next business day. If you are seeing us for a referral visit, please ask your regular veterinarian about emergency services in your area, should you need them. Though Dr. Blount can not be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deal with emergencies referred from a distance, she is happy to take phone calls and e-mails outside regular business hours, to help deal with referral patient emergencies.  Her e-mail address is drblount@vonallmen.net, and her home office number is furnished to owners of referral patients, and referring veterinarians, so that they may reach her at any time.
