lymph nodes and great vessels. If you provide sexaully intact animals, we will scan the reproductive tracts as well. You will be provided with a custom goal oriented abdominal ultrasound template/form
for your clinic, which guides the exam and provides normal ranges. At the end of the day, all participants will be comfortable finding and measuring the adrenal glands.

practical uses for this exam to assess and track:
- chronic illness, congestive heart failure, anaphylaxis, CPR and fluid therapy, cardiovascular volume status, etc.
- heart/lung lesions - interstitial fluid, alveolar fluid, pleural fluid, pericardial fluid, consolidated lung, nodules, etc.
- pneumothorax, pericardial effusion, hemoabdomen and other abdominal effusions, using abdominal fluid score to assess need for intervention, etc.
