We are AAHA Certified

AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association. AAHA accreditation helps veterinary practice owners meet the goal of excellent small animal medical care. Since 1933, AAHA's leaders have developed specific written standards for small animal practices. When a veterinary clinic applies for accredited practice membership, they receive a copy of these standards. An AAHA consultant then tours the practice to review the standards and give guidance for successfully meeting them. What Does AAHA Accreditation REALLY Mean?

First and foremost, having AAHA Accreditation means that our hospital conforms to a higher standard than average for diagnostic equipment, patient care, hospital facilities, record keeping and the practice veterinary medicine and surgery in general. And second, AAHA membership gives our hospital a number of benefits that help us to practice better medicine and provide better care for our patients and their people. Some of the benefits of AAHA Membership are listed below:

• AAHA has released a total of 327 million Radio and TV Public Service Annoucements in the US and Canada, to educate the public about health care for their pets.
• The AAHA Helping Pets Fund provides Financial Assistance for health care for pets who have been abandoned or whose owners are experiencing financial hardship.
• AAHA released Vaccination Guidelines in 2006, and has been leading veterianians to adjust traditional vaccination protocols according to the most recent evidence and research.
• AAHA gave away nearly 50,000 hours of free continuting education to its members last year, worth about $4.5 million.
• Members receive the Journal of AAHA, containing scientific articles on the latest in small animal veteirnary medicine, Trends Magazine, a practice management periodical, and NEWStat, an electronic newsletter.  These periodical keep AAHA members up to date on the latest and greatest in companion animal medicine.
